Richard Wagner would have been delighted with my new bass trumpet’s tone! Both powerful and very soft, from piano up to fortissimo.
But not only is its tone enchanting, its shape, its handling and most of all its intonation set new standards. Same as all of my instruments, the bass trumpet is entirely handcrafted.
The hand-hammered bell and the tubings which are manually bent and meticulously calibrated guarantee ease of response and long life. The bass trumpet is mainly made of brass while valve casing, slides and bows are engineered in nickel silver or gold brass to avoid corrosion. The bell’s diameter measures 210 mm, the bore is 13.0 mm. The instrument comes with two mouthpipes, which come lacquered, silver-plated or gold-plated.
